　　1.第1句中修饰“过程”的定语“农村人口向 城市迁移的”较长，可译为that引导的同位语从句that rural people migrateinto cities，也可以译为介词短语0f rural peoplemigrating into cities，作后置定语修饰“过程”。

　　2.第2句中的“衡量一个国家城镇化水平的一个重要指标”如逐字对译为a key index measuring a nation'surbanization level，译法刻板。“......的一个重要指标”，可处理成名词短语的形式a key index of...，表达地道且通俗达意。

　　3.仔细分析可发现，第3、4句之间逻辑关系紧密，第4句句首的“这”指代的正是第3句中的内容，故第4句可译为which引导的非限制性定语从句。

　　4.最后一句中含有三个谓语动词，“提供……机会”、“提高……生活水平”以及“丰富……体验”，后两者是“不但......也......”的并列结构，可用not only... but also...来表达。而“提供......机会”可看作是“提高人们的生活水平”的方式故可用By引导介词短语作状语，表达为By offering better education and more jobopportunities。
