　　By contrast, others hold that discussions are of greater necessity. According to a recent survey conducted by China Daily，a high proportion (83. 8 percent) of students admit that discussions help them develop the ability to analyze and solve problems, stimula­ting their creativities. In addition，students’ ability of communication can be enhanced，which is absolutely beneficial to their future career.

　　As far as I am concerned, both lectures and discussions have respective advantages. The former is better for big class and knowl­edge-oriented subjects, while the latter is suitable for small class and skill-oriented subjects.
